Privacy Policy

This website is a set of static pages. It has no accounts, no backend and no analytics, and it sets no cookies of its own. Our extensions process your captures and recordings locally in your browser; they do not upload them anywhere. The rest of this page states the details, per tool, so you can check rather than take our word for it.

• No accounts. Nothing on this site requires, or even offers, sign-up.
• No forms, no submissions. There is nowhere on this site to enter personal data.
• No analytics or advertising scripts. The pages ship as plain HTML, CSS and a small amount of JavaScript for interface elements (the homepage carousel and counters).
• No cookies set by us. We do not use cookies for tracking or preferences.
• Server logs. As with any website, the hosting provider may keep standard request logs (IP address, browser string, requested page) for security and operations. We do not use these to profile visitors.

Every extension we publish follows the same rule: the content you capture stays on your machine unless you choose to share the exported file yourself. There is no server that receives your screenshots, recordings or annotations. Specifically:

• Poindeo records screen, tab or window video with cursor tracking, mixes in microphone audio when you enable it, and encodes the result to MP4 in your browser. Recordings are stored in the browser's local storage (OPFS / IndexedDB) and downloaded to your device on export.
• Web Video Recorder captures the audio and video of the tab you choose and converts it to MP4 or GIF locally, using a WebAssembly build of ffmpeg that runs inside your browser. Finished files download to your device; nothing is transmitted.
• Screenshot Annotation captures and annotates entirely within the page and its editor. Results go to your clipboard or download as a file on your device.

Settings and history metadata (for example, your preferences or the list of recordings in an extension's local library) are kept in the browser's own extension storage on your machine. Clearing the extension's data in your browser removes them.

Capture tools necessarily request sensitive-sounding permissions — access to the tab being recorded, to the page being captured, or to your microphone when you enable narration. Each permission is used only for the capture you initiate, and none of them is used to collect or transmit data about your browsing. • Browser extension stores. If you install our extensions from the Chrome Web Store or another store, that store processes the installation under its own privacy policy (for example, aggregate install statistics). We receive no personal data from these beyond what the store chooses to show developers in aggregate.
• No other third-party services. The extensions do not embed analytics SDKs, crash reporters or advertising libraries, and they do not call external APIs with your content.

Our extensions are general-purpose tools that do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included. The captures a user makes are stored only on that user's own device.

If the way our site or extensions handle data ever changes, this page will be updated before the change ships, with the date below revised accordingly. Material changes will also be noted in the affected extension's documentation.
